Upgrade without upfront equipment costs.

MT Energy funds the equipment and installation for eligible projects.

Support the business in your building.

A project designed around site energy use can help reduce energy costs, subject to assessment and agreement.

Add a long-term energy asset.

Equipment is sized around the property’s electricity needs. The upgrade may support property appeal and long-term value; a higher equipment cost does not automatically mean an equivalent increase in property value.

Keep the longer view in sight.

At the end of the agreed term, equipment ownership transfers to the property owner, subject to the agreement.

ENERGY NOTES

A little clarity
goes a long way.

Plain-English answers to the questions behind a better energy decision.

LET’S CLEAR A FEW THINGS UP

Good questions.
Straight answers.

Because a better energy decision starts with knowing what you’re agreeing to.

No fine-print surprises.
Is it really $0 upfront?

For eligible projects, MT Energy funds the upfront equipment and installation costs. The project operates under an energy agreement. This is not an offer of free electricity or a project without ongoing obligations.

How long is the agreement?

The agreement term is set for the project and agreed before you proceed. It is not fixed to a single term on this website. Your proposal will explain the duration, costs, responsibilities and end-of-term arrangements.

How much could I save?

Savings depend on your property, electricity use, project design and agreement. Assessment is needed before a project-specific estimate can be provided. No fixed savings amount is promised here.

What happens to the equipment at the end?

At the end of the agreed term, equipment ownership transfers to the property owner, subject to the agreement.

Can I enquire if I am a tenant?

Yes. You can start the conversation about your business and its energy use. Property owner involvement and any required permissions will need to be considered as part of the assessment.

What if I move, sell the property or change tenants?

These arrangements depend on the agreement. Review the provisions that apply to your project before entering into it, including any requirements for a move, sale or tenant change.

Who handles maintenance?

Maintenance, monitoring and service responsibilities should be set out in the project agreement. Review the scope, response arrangements and any exclusions as part of your proposal.
